Honours and Awards
Introduction
The International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) honours through a variety of awards those who advance science and promote international cooperation in all fields of research related to forestry. The scope of activities is spread through a number of IUFRO Divisions, currently Forest Environment and Silviculture; Physiology, Genetics and Protection; Forest Operations and Techniques; Inventory, Growth, Yield, Quantitative Management Sciences; Forest Products; and Social, Economic, Information and Policy Sciences.

Awards for Scientific Work
The IUFRO World Congress to be held on 23-28 August 2010 in Seoul, Republic of Korea, will be an opportunity to honor outstanding scientific achievements and contributions to forestry with a range of IUFRO Awards:
- Scientific Achievement Award (SAA) – Nomination form
- Outstanding Doctoral Research Award (ODRA) – Nomination form
- IUFRO Student Award for Excellence in Forest Science (ISA) – Nomination form
- IUFRO World Congress Host Scientific Award
- Best Poster Award (BPA)
The deadline for the submission of the above nominations was 31 July 2009.
