IUFRO The Advocate for Forest Science.
Good working relations with other science organizations and the non-scientific community are essential for promoting the achievements of IUFRO and for effectively responding to the needs of potential users of scientific information.
Based on this conviction, IUFRO is co-operating with a number of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and initiatives, e.g. in convening international meetings and in preparing joint contributions for international processes. IUFRO has been closely collaborating with other major groups of civil society in the preparation of contributions of the scientific and technological communities to the multi-stakeholder processes at the third and fourth session of UNFF, for example.
