How much are the annual membership fees?
Membership fees are based on the country you reside in and depend on the type of membership (organizational membership or individual membership). The minimum fee for any member organization is starting from 210 €.

I am only one person. Is there a special fee for just me?
If you are a single individual you may register as Associate Member. The annual fee is 42 € for 
low-income and lower middle-income economies, and 84 € for individuals residing in upper middle-income and high-income economies.

I am an individual scientist. Where can I check whether my organization is already a member of IUFRO?
Full access to our membership database is only given to members. But we have made available a general list of institutes where you can check.

My organization is interested in becoming a member. How many researchers will become members through my organization?
10 researchers (to be listed on the application form) will be covered by the scaled minimum membership fee (210 to 525 €). The annual cost for every 10 additional researchers is 105 €.

What forms of payment do you accept?
IUFRO accepts bank transfers or credit card payments (Visa or MasterCard) for the payment of membership fees.

How long will it take to process my membership?
We will contact you within a couple of days to provide you with payment details. You are eligible to register for an online user account for the membership zone and other benefits once we confirm the receipt of your membership fee.

How can I sign up for the electronic newsletter?
As a member you will automatically receive IUFRO’s monthly newsletter IUFRO News. As we send the newsletter to the email address(es) indicated in the application form we ask you to contact us if you want us to send IUFRO News to a different address.

How do I access the IUFRO membership zone on the website?
To access the membership zone you need to register for an account and select a password. Registering takes only a couple of minutes and opens up all sections of the IUFRO web pages for you.
Once your account is set up you can login with your email address and your password.

How do I post my organization’s event on the IUFRO Calendar of Meetings?
As a member you are welcome to contact us with the details (name, date, location, sponsors, description, contact person) of your meeting. We will be pleased to include your event in our Calendar of Meetings and spread the word in our media.

How can I submit information for the IUFRO newsletter?
You are welcome to contact us if you wish to place articles, job announcements, publications etc. in IUFRO News.

How can I participate in a Unit of my choice?
As a member you can contact the Coordinator of the Unit and indicate your interest in the group and its work. The Coordinator will then provide you with further details. Additionally, you can always contact IUFRO Headquarters for support and guidance.
If you indicate your interest in a particular group on the application we will invite you to join the mailing list of the Unit (if applicable).
