IUFRO Working Party 2.01.14 is concernced with the biological basis of resistance to low temperature and to drought hardiness in forest trees, and the physiology of long-term impacts and stresses resulting from these severe environmental conditions. The practical application of this basic research is the successful care and mangement of forest tree species under conditions of intermittent or pologend cold or drought.
