IUFRO Event at the Asia-Pacific Forestry Week

Disseminating Scientific Information for Policy and Management

This meeting took place in Hanoi, Vietnam on 25 April, 2008 as parallel event of the first Asia-Pacific Forestry Week. The meeting brought together forest scientists and practitioners from the Asia-Pacific Region to exchange experiences on effective science-policy interactions at international, national and local levels. Three IUFRO-led global initiatives i.e. (a) Capacity Building in Science-policy Interfacing in Developing Countries, (b) the Joint CPF Initiative on Science and Technology and (c) the Global Forest Information Service (GFIS) were presented and discussed.
