On the occasion of the United Nations Climate Change Conference CIFOR, IUFRO and other members of the CPF will co-host "Forest Day 2" on 6 December 2008 in Poznan, Poland.
The event will provide a forum for forest stakeholders to discuss the role of forests for climate change mitigation and adaptation, as well as their future role in a post-2012 climate regime. IUFRO, together with CIFOR, ICRAF and PROFOR/World Bank will organize a cross-cutting session on "Adaptation of forests to climate change – Bridging the gap between knowledge and action".
