Task Force Side Event at WFC

The IUFRO Task Forces on "Forests and Human Health", "Traditional Forest Knowledge" and "Improving the Lives of People in Forests" will hold a side event at the XIII World Forestry Congress on the subject of "Forests, human health and well-being: findings of IUFRO's recent science initiatives".

Date: 19 October 2009, 12:45–14:15 h (lunch boxes will be available).
Venue: Room Notro, Blue Pavilion

Together, the Task Forces will

  • give an assessment of human health dimensions in forests and forestry;
  • present the role that traditional forest-related knowledge plays for forests and human health;
  • show how the lives of people in forests can be improved.

The presentations will be followed by a discussion.
