Led by IUFRO, the new Panel will comprehensively assess the linkages between biodiversity, carbon and forest management in the context of REDD+ and provide the results to CBD COP11, UNFCCC COP18 and UNFF10.
Hosted by FAO, the Panel will convene its 1st meeting on 2 and 3 February 2012 in Rome. The Panel will work on refining the assessment's outline and on distributing the individual tasks between authors.
