IUFRO News has a long history. It has been published by IUFRO’s Vienna-based Secretariat since the 1970s and has been the communication platform for IUFRO officeholders and members to report on their activities, to communicate Headquarters news and to inform about events and publications.

... were published every other month, and contained short and up-to-date items of information that were considered interesting for all persons active in IUFRO, both on a general as well as a on a technical/scientific level. This electronic newsletter complemented the printed IUFRO News.
