IUFRO News Vol. 36, double issue 7/8 2007 published in late August points out opportunities of forest research collaboration with IUFRO Member Organizations in Mongolia and reports, among other things, on an international conference on “Sharing Indigenous Wisdom” co-organized by the IUFRO Task Force on Traditional Forest Knowledge. A series of interesting publications – the new IUFRO World Series Vol. 20-I “Keep Asia Green – Southeast Asia being one of them – and a list of upcoming meetings can also be found in this issue.

Forests, bioenergy and climate change as well as the capacity of healthy and productive forests to mitigate climate change are the main topics of this issue.
