IUFRO The Advocate for Forest Science.
This issue reports on the Asia and the Pacific Forest Products Workshop on "Green Technologies and Products for Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation" that was held Sri Lanka, with the aim to provide a forum for linking various agencies and institutions dealing with climate change issues in forest products processing and utilization. It also describes the activities of IUFRO at the UNFCCC COP15 in Copenhagen, particularly Forest Day 3, where IUFRO acted as a co-host. Furthermore, the first meeting of the newly established IUFRO-led Expert Panel on the International Forest Regime took place in Vienna, Austria. New features on the IUFRO website, information on publications, position announcements and awards as well as upcoming meetings round off the newsletter.
