For IUFRO the year 2009 was a year of considerable change and a year in which new directions were set for the future. This Annual Report highlights the relevance of our work and the crucial importance of global networking in forest-related research. Our activities furnish evidence of our commitment to the dissemination of scientific knowledge to stakeholders and decisionmakers and are a contribution to forest policy and on-the-ground forest management for the benefit of forests and people.
