IUFRO News 4, 2008 presents two scientific summaries. The first reports from the international conference on “Forests, Bioenergy and Climate Change� held in Casablanca, Morocco, in March 2008 involving several IUFRO units. The second one focuses on a COST strategic workshop on the role of “Forest Ecosystems in a Changing Environment� that took place in Turkey in March 2008 and was co-sponsored by IUFRO Research Group 7.01.00. A list of recent publications of interest and of announcements of IUFRO and non-IUFRO meetings rounds off the issue.
