IUFRO The Advocate for Forest Science.
In this issue you can read about the IUFRO Conference held 17-20 August 2009 in Mount Gambier, South Australia on 'Meeting Multiple Demands for Forest Information: New Technologies in Forest Data Gathering'. There are also reports from the World Forestry Congress in Argentina and the successful IUFRO activities there, for example, the symposium on "Emerging issues in forest science". As usual, you will find a section on latest publications, announcements including, among other things, Forest Day 3 at the upcoming Copenhagen Climate Summit, and, of course, a selection of IUFRO and non-IUFRO meetings.
