IUFRO News double issue 11&12 of 2009 highlights the message sent by the World Forestry Congress to COP15 in which IUFRO had a significant share. In addition, it presents reports from the International Training Course on "Wood-Based Panels: Processes, Properties and Uses", and the Conference of International Academy of Wood Sciences (IAWS), both supported by IUFRO. The newsletter also introduces IUFRO's new social media options and includes a series of announcements concerning GFIS, the 2010 IUFRO World Congress and services to its members.
