About Unit

The IUFRO Seed Physiology and Technology Working Group (WG 2.09.03) is a discussion forum and working party comprising seed scientists world-wide. Read more about the History of the Unit.

The main aims are to:

  • Provide a forum for discussion of forest tree seed problems and their solutions in both temperate and tropical forests; and
  • Exchange information on forest tree seed physiology, particularly relating to seed dormancy and seed technology (including processing, stratification, storage and testing).

For more information on the Working Group and links to other useful information for seed scientists, see the Working Group's blog at https://iufroseedwg.wordpress.com/.
