This Working Party provides a means for the exchange of information about recent research programs and activities related to medicinal and aromatic plants, which is a rapidly developing area of research as the demand for now products steadily increases. Forest plants have long been a source of effective medicines and will continue to be so. New technology has greatly aided in the search for compounds with medicinal, or other unique properties. The Working Party will strive to keep its members informed of new developments.
