IUFRO's mission is to advance research excellence and knowledge sharing, and to foster the development of science-based solutions to forest-related challenges for the benefit of forests and people worldwide.

With regard to all such endeavours, IUFRO acts as a non-profit organization and, therefore, to a certain extent, also depends on financial support by third parties.

IUFRO selects its sponsors diligently and regularly reviews existing partnerships to ensure compatibility with IUFRO's ideals and goals.

All these measures are aimed at ensuring reliable and sustained partnerships in line with IUFRO's business ethics and guidelines.

The fact that a person or legal entity is accepted as an official sponsor of IUFRO or of any of IUFRO's activities or events may in no way be construed as an acknowledgement, acceptance, support or other form of endorsement whatsoever by IUFRO of any (past or present) activities, business policies or business practices of such person or legal entity where these could be in conflict with the mission of IUFRO. Neither where they are incompatible with IUFRO's business ethics or with the goals IUFRO seeks to achieve through its endeavours.

IUFRO  expressly and unconditionally dissociates itself from any such activities, business policies or business practices and takes no  responsibility or liability with regard thereto.
