Honours and Awards
Letter from the IUFRO President:
The International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) honours through a variety of awards those who advance science and promote international cooperation in all fields of research related to forestry. The scope of activities is spread through a number of IUFRO Divisions, currently Forest Environment and Silviculture; Physiology, Genetics and Protection; Forest Operations and Techniques; Inventory, Growth, Yield, Quantitative Management Sciences; Forest Products; and Social, Economic, Information and Policy Sciences.
IUFRO recognizes deserving individuals and member organizations through the honours and awards listed below. In the selection of the awardees IUFRO strives to reflect the equity, diversity, and inclusion of its broad membership across more than 120 member countries and about 650 member organizations.
Recognition of Services to IUFRO
The XXVI IUFRO World Congress, to be held on 23-26 June 2024 in Stockholm, Sweden, will be an opportunity to honor outstanding scientific achievements and contributions to forestry with a range of IUFRO Awards:
- Scientific Achievement Award (SAA) - Nomination form

Special Awards within IUFRO Divisions
