In IUFRO-Japan News No. 117, Alexander Buck, the Executive Director of IUFRO, introduces "IUFRO at the Science/Policy Interface". The IUFRO-Japan (IUFRO-J) Committee (http://www.ffpri.affrc.go.jp/labs/iufroj/index_Eng.html) is an organization established in 1970 to promote global and domestic partnerships in forest-related research, which cooperates with IUFRO Headquarters.
