IUFRO-Japan News No. 126 & 127
IUFRO-Japan News No. 126 informs about the 8th General Assembly of APAFRI (Asia Pacific Association of Forestry Research Institutions). Participants of three IUFRO Conferences introduce readers about remarkable topics of these conferences and what they found most interesting. (An annual report of IUFRO-J activities is included in this issue.) IUFRO-Japan News No. 127 presents five valuable reports prepared by participants of the IUFRO World Congress in Curitiba, Brazil, sharing highlights of the presentations, their experience and satisfaction with organizing a technical session or operating an exhibition booth. The reprint of the poster (in English) presented at the Congress which introduces IUFRO-J activities is also included together with a message from the IUFRO Executive Director to IUFRO-J.The IUFRO-Japan (IUFRO-J) Committee, http://www.ffpri.affrc.go.jp/labs/iufroj/index_Eng.html is an organization launched in 1970 to promote global and domestic partnerships in forest-related research, which cooperates with IUFRO Headquarters.
