Tenure-track faculty position in Community Ecology // 15 October 2018
The Institute of Environmental Sciences and Evolution at the Faculty Sciences of the Universidad Austral de Chile invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. The ideal applicants should have a recognized expertise in community ecology. He/She will have a background and research on quantitative methods applied to the analysis of ecological data. The successful candidate will be expected to secure extramural funding, publish in peer-reviewed journals, advise undergraduate and graduate students, and serve on departmental committees. Teaching responsibilities include Biostatistics and Community Ecology. Qualifications: - A Ph.D. in fields related to Ecology or Environmental Sciences at the time of appointment; - Demonstrated ability in conducting peer-reviewed research in areas of expertise with a corresponding publication record. Additional Desired Qualifications: - Fluency in Spanish and English; - Demonstrated experience advising undergraduate or graduate students; - Demonstrated participation in research projects.Institution: Institute of Environmental Sciences and Evolution, Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh)
