Lecturer for Master of Urban Forestry Leadership program // 8 March 2019

The Department of Forest Resources Management at the University of British Columbia-Vancouver campus invites applications for a Lecturer (term appointment) to be involved in the teaching and coordination of aspects of urban forestry (governance, planning, management) in the Master of Urban Forestry Leadership (MUFL) graduate program. The lecturer will lead or co-lead courses such as Developing Green and Resilient Cities: The Urban Forestry Approach (UFOR 500, online course), Urban Forest Governance (UFOR 512), Urban Forest Resources and Benefits Assessment (UFOR 522), Strategic Urban Forest Planning and Management (UFOR 523), and the MUFL capstone course (UFOR 523). The lecturer will also act as Program Coordinator of the MUFL program, managing, promoting and developing the program in close collaboration with the Program Director. The MUFL program is a course-based Master program with an international scope, and with a diverse student population in terms of experience, discipline, and cultural background, and the lecturer will play a central role in managing the challenges and opportunities associated with this. Student mentoring will be an important part of the lecturer's tasks.
