Lecturer - Master of Urban Forestry Leadership // 15 March 2021

The Department of Forest Resources Management, Faculty of Forestry, University of British Columbia (Vancouver Campus) invites applications for a Lecturer (term appointment). The successful candidate will principally lead the development, teaching and refinement of graduate courses in the course-based Master of Urban Forestry Leadership (MUFL) graduate program with additional teaching in other graduate and undergraduate programs as needed. The MUFL program provides education and training in urban forestry management to an international student body that includes recent graduates, early and mid-career professionals. The Lecturer will teach or co-teach courses on, for example, urban forest governance, urban forest planning and management, assessing urban forest resources and benefits, and a capstone course in which students will work on their own, final projects. Courses will often be taught collaboratively, with the involvement of other Faculty members as well as industry experts. The lecturer will also act play a key role in program coordination, managing, promoting, and developing the program in close collaboration with the Program Director.
