Research Scientist (Doctoral Student) in Forest Genetics // 21 March 2021

The Department of Forest Genetics and Forest Tree Breeding at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen is inviting applications for the position of Research Scientist (doctoral student) (all genders welcome). The successful candidate will work on a research project related to local adaptation of temperate tree species using genomic resources and/ or on DNA barcoding of plant and environmental samples. The incumbent's tasks will include: - Genome-wide analysis of Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs); - Association genetic analyses for candidate gene identification; - DNA and metabarcoding analyses; - Publication of results in peer-reviewed journals; - Assistance with the organization and coordination of the project.
