Professor in forest policy and legislation // 8 April 2023

In accordance with its development plan, the Department of Wood and Forest Sciences is seeking a professor in forest policy and legislation. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in French at all levels, support the various departmental programs, and develop a research program in the targeted areas. More specifically, teaching and research activities will focus on the following areas: 1. Public policies for the management and development of forest resources; 2. Legal frameworks for forest management, supply and processing of forest resources in Quebec, Canada and elsewhere in the world; 3. State and non-state forms of forest governance, such as forest and environmental certification or local and indigenous governance; 4. Socio-economic factors of the sustainable use of forest resources; 5. Professional ethics in practice settings.
