Carbon Forestry Course // 30 November 2021

With climate change awareness and commitments on the rise worldwide, professionals with concrete competencies in the field of land use-based climate change mitigation activities are increasingly needed. The three weeks (hybrid) Carbon Forestry Course (21 Feb -11 March 2022) is designed to build capacities around development, assessment and monitoring of forest carbon projects, as well as to provide expert knowledge about climate policy instruments and functioning of carbon markets at national and international levels. It is offered by the Chair of Silviculture at Freiburg University in special cooperation with UNIQUE Forestry and Land Use and key experts from carbon market and certification organizations in Germany and worldwide. Partial scholarships for participants from developing countries are available thanks to the support of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
