#GlobalForestEducation – Take Part in the Social Media Video Campaign!

The FAO-ITTO-IUFRO Global Forest Education Project invites short videos to help increase awareness and understanding of forests and forest-related professions. Get inspired by watching the first videos and participate yourself until 31 March 2021!

Forest education must keep pace with changing societal demands on forests and the increasing pressures on forest resources. The future of forests depends on attracting talented students to forest programs and equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed in the workplace.

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) and IUFRO are the lead partners in a project entitled "Creation of a Global Forest Education Platform and Launch of a Joint Initiative under the Aegis of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests".

About the project: http://www.fao.org/forestry/forest-education/en/

Students, teachers, professors and school administrators who would like to help promote this project are invited to take part in a social media video campaign. Take a short video (less than 30 seconds) of yourself and explain in simple language why forest education is so important.

Upload the video by 31 March 2021 to your own social media channels, include the hashtag #GlobalForestEducation and kindly tag the project partners:
