Workshop Report

 

After the three-day virtual workshop on 17-19 October, this onsite meeting continued the discussion with educators from Bay of Bengal region (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand) of current natural resources management education in view of the increasing demand for knowledge and expertise in landscape restoration. Participants also explored further opportunities for closer regional collaboration.

The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) and Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) organised this workshop in collaboration with the International Union of Forest Research Organizations under its Special Programme for Development of Capacities (IUFRO-SPDC), Global Landscapes Forum (GLF), and Wageningen University and Research (WUR).
