At the Global Landscape Forum 2017 in Bonn, Germany, IUFRO and the CGIAR research program on Forests, Trees and Agroforestry (FTA) co-organized a most interesting discussion forum on "rainfall recycling" that shed new light on the role of forests and trees in the climate debate.

IUFRO also organized a very successful GLF discussion forum together with ITTO and CIFOR placing emphasis on individual and institutional capacities, knowledge and skills required for effectively designing and implementing forest landscape restoration projects in complex environments.

And did you know that a special issue of the International Forestry Review prepared by the Special Project on World Forests, Society and Environment (IUFRO-WFSE) has been published recently? It focuses on forest development discourses while taking into consideration broader development, climate change and conservation discourses.
