  • Optimization and Wildfire Conference (O&W); Luso, Portugal; 1-4 October 2024. Units involved: 3.04.01, 4.04.04. Conference homepage  
    The Optimization and Wildfire Conference aims to create a unique environment for the exchange of knowledge and experiences among researchers working on interconnected optimization and wildfire areas.  It explores the application of operations research and decision science methods to address wildfire-related challenges. Key areas of interest include optimization models and solution approaches, such as mathematical programming, meta-heuristics, stochastic optimization, muti-objective optimization, and simulation. The conference will be held in Luso, a small town in the center of Portugal, near the Bussaco Forest, a managed forest since the 17th century.
