Additional Scientist Assistance Programme

Thanks to a generous contribution by the Forestry Department of the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the USDA Forest Service and the Korean Forest Research Institute, IUFRO-SPDC is able to offer additional assistance for participation in the Congress. Scientists from developing countries in Latin America and the Caribbean are eligible to apply.

The support includes travel to Chile, Congress registration fees, accommodation as well as daily subsistence. Based on IUFRO’s policy the programme is designed to encourage participation of early- and mid-career scientists, particularly of women, who make a significant contribution to the Congress. The selection of successful candidates will therefore be based on the following criteria:
