Mark your calendars and make plans to attend IUFRO EKE's 2023 Working Party Meeting and Conference scheduled for October 8-13, 2023 in the Veneto Region of Italy. This beautiful region is a cultural, social, economic and environmental centerpiece and the perfect location to assemble forestry and natural resource Extension, education and communications specialists from throughout the world to share information and knowledge regarding important breakthroughs in EKE.

Abstracts for presentations and posters will be accepted following an official Call for Abstracts coming in January, 2023.

About Unit

The Extension Working Party first became active in 1994. Since that time it has grown to include over 400 members from about 70 countries throughout the world. A Working Party Directory is updated regularly. Paper copies are printed every other year, and are available from the Working Party Coordinator.

The objectives of the Working Party are as follows:

  1. To serve as a forum for information exchange among Extension forestry workers worldwide.
  2. To promote the concept of Extension through the transfer of knowldege and technology to improve the lives of people.
  3. To improve the quality, quantity, and effectiveness of Extension programs worldwide.
  4. To advance the quality and impact of research on Extension methodologies.
