An evidence-based report, 'Benefits of Urban Parks: A systematic review', offers a comprehensive and critical assessment that evaluates the evidence supporting a series of park benefits.

The International Federation of Parks and Recreation Administration (Ifpra) assigned the recent study that draws conclusions based on green space related research published in a number of top-level scientific publications. Across the globe, the report will be a useful tool for planners, policy-makers and politicians, especially at the municipal level, giving them a better foundation on which to base decisions for building or preserving urban parks. The authors all come from IUFRO member organizations or are IUFRO officeholders.
