Forestry Officer (REDD+) // 18 July 2023
The Forestry Officer (REDD+) will support the Forestry Division's work related to REDD+ and climate change overall, with a specific focus on transformation of agrifood systems towards sustainable practices reducing impact on forests, decoupling agriculture supply chains from deforestation and promoting the enhancement of synergies between agriculture and forestry. This topic is multi-dimensional and cross-sectoral, the Forestry Officer (REDD+) will therefore need to engage with other FAO units, notably in the divisions in charge of plant production, livestock production, market and trade, agricultural economy and statistics. Additionally, the Forestry Officer (REDD+) will support technical exchanges with partner organizations within the context of the FAO Strategic Framework.'Institution: Forestry Division (NFO), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)
