It is our great pleasure to invite you to the IUFRO 1.01.09 Ecology and Silviculture of Fir conference entitled Prospects for fir management in a changeable environment. The 50th anniversary of Abies IUFRO unit.

The conference will be held from May 28-30, 2019 in Cracow, Poland.

Four keynotes, three sessions and two conference tours should be of great interests for all scientists and experts working on Abies species.

The meeting will take place at Agricultural University in Cracow. Cracow, located nearby the lovely mountainous landscape of the Tatra Mountains, is a famous historical town with plenty of cultural events and historical experiences.

Save the date for the ABIES 2019 Conference which will be held in Cracow, Poland, 28-30 May 2019, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the IUFRO ABIES Working Party. The theme will be "Prospects for fir management in a changeable environment", further details will be announced at a later stage.

The 15th International Conference on Ecology and Silviculture of Fir / Call for Papers: Proposals for paper presentations and posters are currently invited for ABIES2016 (21-24 September 2016, Sapporo, Japan).
