Division 7 Webinar Series in celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

To celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Division 7 is organizing a webinar series in February 2024. The webinar series will host 21 women and feminine-presenting scientists working in the field of forest health and will invite them to talk about their research.

Registration and Call for Abstracts now open!

The conference will cover all forest and tree entomology and pathology topics. The response to the call for session proposals has been excellent; more than 20 proposals for thematic sessions were submitted.

Because not all who wish to participate will be able to do so in person, the format was changed to a hybrid-conference (attendance in person or online via Zoom).

Several Division 7 participants contributed to a special issue of the journal 'Biological Invasions' that was coordinated by the IUFRO Task Force on 'Biological Invasions in Forests'. This is the first major compilation of papers on invasions of forests across a wide range of taxa. Special issue editors were Sandy Liebhold (Coordinator of the Task Force and of RG 7.03 - Entomology), Ecki Brockerhoff (Div. 7 coordinator) and Martin Nuñez (an Argentine expert in invasions of non-native tree species).
