A worldwide digital IUFRO event will take place on 28-29 September 2021 in three time zones around the world. The forum will contain 24 hours of forest-related research topics, networking and emerging issues of relevancy for global policy makers. A unique opportunity to meet, interact, share and strengthen global research cooperation. Join us on 28 and 29 September 2021 to connect all over the globe!

Large physical meetings are still not possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which is also why the IUFRO Regional Congress in Russia scheduled for this September had to be postponed to 2022. The IUFRO World Day aims to fill this gap and cater for the need of strengthening networking and communication in IUFRO. The overall objective is to showcase the diversity of the IUFRO Network, including IUFRO Units and IUFRO Member Organizations, to facilitate networking, and to enhance communication and outreach.

The IUFRO World Day will comprise over 60 sessions from IUFRO Units and Members, a Science Policy Forum covering highly relevant topics for policy makers in each time zone as well as a central IUFRO session in each time zone.

To enable participants from all over the world to take part in their own time zones, the event will be structured into three major time zone groups spreading over two days.

Participants can register for the IUFRO World Day by filling in the sign-up form on our event website. The registration will grant you access to our IUFRO World Day Interactive Map, which will open shortly before the event. The Map will contain all live sessions and static content that are part of the forum. Your registration will allow you to access all events during the IUFRO World Day.
