Forest Human Resources Development Institute, Seoul, Republic of Korea,

IUFRO's Special Programme for Developing Countries (IUFRO-SPDC) in cooperation with the Korea Forest Research Institute has organised the following four training workshops:
• Forests and Climate Change;
• Traditional Forest Knowledge;
• Forests and Water Interactions; and
• Forests and Human Health.
These topical workshops provided latest scientific knowledge on issues of global and regional significance that have been subject to comprehensive analysis and debate over the past several years within the framework of IUFRO’s Task Forces. In the context of these thematic areas, participants also had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills in the fields of “Communicating Research”; “Science-Policy Interfacing”; and “Information Management.”
