Four Full-time, Permanent Lectureships // 23 April 2021

The School of Natural Sciences of Bangor University invites applications for four full-time, permanent Lectureships in the broad area of biological sciences, environmental sciences and management of natural resources to encompass areas of growth and development within the School. The School of Natural Sciences is a large and diverse School with strong research records and successful recruitment into our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Currently it is looking to expand its research base, and its teaching, outreach and impact capabilities. Candidates should have a PhD (or near completion) in biological sciences, environmental sciences or natural resource management, be able to develop their own internationally recognised research programmes to deliver high-quality research outputs and impact, show an enthusiasm for teaching and outreach activities, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Candidates working in environmental virology, entomology, wildlife biology, conservation ecology, environmental economics, and sustainable development/analysis related to natural resources, e.g. through modelling and life cycle assessment, are particularly welcome. The successful candidates will be expected to complement and enhance our existing areas of expertise in biological and environmental sciences, sustainable land management for food, fibre and energy generation and develop projects for undergraduate and postgraduate research.
