Assistant Professor & Extension Specialist in Land Retention // 1 August or until filled
12-month, tenure-track, assistant professor position in forestry with emphasis on land retention, incentive programs, and taxation for non-industrial private forest landowners. The position is 75% extension, 15% teaching and mentoring, and 10% research. The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills and experience that will allow them to work in areas relevant to land retention, including heirs property, estate planning, and conservation easements; cost-share programs, including issues around equitable access and participation; and income and property taxation. Responsibilities include developing an innovative, state-wide extension program, seeking external funding for extension-relevant projects, to include support for graduate students, and teaching one class per year in support of the Department’s curricula.Institution: Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources, North Carolina State University (NCSU)
